Update

I'm usually not the kind of guy that believes in curses, but I am positive that I have Del Mar Curse. If anyone knows how to break it, please fill me in.

I went back and looked at some old Livejournal posts I made over the course of last year. I think overall I am a lot happier and a lot less stressed then I was, which is kind of weird. Not the fact that I am happier, but the fact that I am less stressed, because by all accounts I should be more stressed. My workload is so much heavier now, but I think most of it is pretty focused to one thing, which is Typography. Because it is focused more I can handle it a lot easier, if this makes any sense. I'm no longer stretched between a bunch of different things so I am able to sit and figure out how I am going to solve this one problem and not have to worry about ten other things. However, sometimes this one problem(the problem being typography) can branch off into many other problems(other problems being outside assignments) but for the most part it's pretty well contained.

I am really looking forward to this weekend and next week. First I'm headed to Austin to see Thrice, Mewithoutyou, and Brand New. I'm really pumped about this show and getting to see a lot of friends who I haven't seen in a while. It's to bad I can only stay one night. Once I get back I'll spend a couple of relatively stress free days in Denton, and then I'll head to Corpus for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving this year is going to be very strange for me. Like I said I will be in Corpus Christi, but the rest of my family will not. The reason behind this is sort of long so I'll spare you the details, but I think it will be a good four or five days.

It's hard to believe that there are only three more weeks left of school. I know I say this every semester, but it feels like the semester just started. I am very much looking forward to Christmas break. Unlike Christmas breaks in the past, I hope to stay productive. Because I have to keep my creative switch on all semester long, my brian has sort of exploded with ideas, but for the very same reason I have not had time to explore them. My number one goal of Christmas break is to record. I have about five songs right now (all original stuff) but hopefully when it's all said and done I'll have seven fully recorded. I look forward to experimenting with different sounds. Hopefully I can FINALLY make use of those wine bottles I collected two years ago. Has it really been that long? wow.
